We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Med Career Solutions. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients using various imaging modalities.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner.
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines to ensure patient and self-safety.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
- Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure proper charges and referring physician's orders are verified.
- Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
- Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up, including cleaning CR plates, erasing cassettes, closing and sending exams from workstations, etc.
- Complete and maintain personal educational requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
- Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (within 6 months of hire).
- Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider.
- Preferred: Society of Radiologic Technology.
- Preferred: Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year as a Rad Tech.
- Pay Rates: Up to $38.80/hr. (based on years of experience).
- Shift Diffs: Nights and Weekends available.
