Job Overview

Position: Class A Tractor Driver

Schedule: Monday to Saturday

Route Details: This position involves a split shift with an unpaid off-duty layover in Wilmington.

The driver will operate a tractor equipped with a manual transmission and a 53-foot dry van.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect mail from designated Post Offices early in the morning.
  • Transport mail to the Wilmington location, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Manage the unloading process by physically offloading rolling containers.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational regulations as outlined by the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of over-the-road driving experience.
  • Ability to navigate tight spaces and back up safely.
  • Clean driving record with limited minor violations.
  • Proficient in reading, comprehending, and writing in English.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology and map reading.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
