Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

• Perform quality Mammography exams after verification of patient identification, physician order, and correct exam charge in our electronic health record system.
• Demonstrate ability to proficiently operate Mammography imaging equipment and maintain a high level of technical expertise.
• Obtain the highest quality images by using the appropriate techniques for patient positioning for screening, tomography, and diagnostic exams, and invasive mammography procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Effectively communicate with administrative, medical staff, and peers to ensure seamless patient care and department operations.

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited Radiography program.
• 1-3 years of experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional Mammography (ARRT)(M) certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
