PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Liferay Developer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of banking applications, with a primary focus on Java and Liferay DXP portal application development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute all tasks associated with software engineering, emphasizing Java and Liferay Portal application development.
  • Work under minimal supervision to devise innovative solutions that meet business requirements. Generate comprehensive design specifications for programming and implementation.
  • Engage in application design discussions, proposing and documenting technical alternatives to meet business goals, while suggesting enhancements to minimize technical debt.
  • Develop new system software or enhance existing software, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Create and run unit tests to validate that the banking applications developed in Liferay DXP fulfill the specified requirements.
  • Oversee application builds and deployments, assisting with application configuration.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with standards and the accuracy of requirement implementations.
  • Collaborate with project management, other teams, and colleagues in a team-oriented environment for application integration and project coordination.
  • Stay informed about advancements in systems software and emerging trends within the software industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with project stakeholders and team members.

Proficient knowledge in Java 8 and later versions, Java Server Pages, Liferay Portal DXP 7.2 and later, Git, SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS is required.
