About the Role

CoxHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Professional to join our team. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in creating a secure and nurturing learning environment that fosters the positive growth and development of every child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Lead Educators to design and implement engaging educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children in our care.
  • Supervise and participate in educational and extracurricular activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive.
  • Develop and achieve educational goals for different age groups and classrooms, aligning with CoxHealth's educational standards and objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming parents and children at drop-off and pick-up times, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assist with daily responsibilities such as diaper changing, toilet training, laundry, cleaning facilities, and organizing toys, ensuring a clean and organized environment for children to learn and play.
  • Ensure compliance with state-mandated child-to-staff ratios and other regulatory standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and safety in our educational programs.

Requirements

  • Education: A minimum of 6 college credits from an accredited institution (or 3 credits in early childhood education for hires before 7/30/2018), or attainment of MOA Educational Waiver before employment and maintaining it. Preferably, coursework related to early childhood education.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective time management, interpersonal abilities, organizational proficiency, decision-making aptitude, and strategic planning capabilities. Capable of performing well under pressure, especially during peak periods like morning drop-offs and shift changes. Candidates must undergo a health screening, receive annual clearance from the Family Care Safety Registry, annual TB testing, be at least 18 years old, and have received the initial T-Dap Immunization.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Mandatory acquisition of Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/FA/AED certification within 30 days of employment.
