Shelter Veterinarian Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Shelter Veterinarian to join our Animal Services team at the City of Rochester. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the human-animal bond and providing critical services to keep animals in their homes and out of the shelter system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care to animals in our shelter, including surgical sterilizations and overseeing veterinary protocols.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective animal welfare programs.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State regulations and licensing requirements.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and two years of experience in veterinary care.
  • New York State License to Practice Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
