We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals. As a New Grad RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to patients and their families.
Unit DescriptionThe 6th floor at Ahuja Medical Center is a state-of-the-art medical surgical telemetry unit with 36 single-occupancy rooms. Our team primarily cares for patients with general medical/surgical needs, including acute CHF exacerbation, CVA, Sepsis, and general surgery. We maintain a 1:5 nurse to patient ratio for days and a 1:6 ratio for night shift, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities- Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process.
- Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.
- Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
- Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
- Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Thorough knowledge of the nursing process and practice.
- Ability to use a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association.
