As a skilled Painter at Brown & Root, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray machines. Your attention to detail and knowledge of surface preparation will ensure a smooth and even finish. You will also be responsible for preparing surfaces to receive coatings by cleaning dirt, oil, and grease from the surfaces to be covered, removing old paint and wall coverings, and filling and smoothing over cracks and holes. Additionally, you will need to know what materials were used to make the paint and which types of paints are required for different materials, such as plaster, wood, brick, and metal.
