Job Summary

At BWX Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machining Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our CNC machining shop, ensuring that all production goals are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage departmental goals to support company objectives
  • Schedule department resources to meet established deadlines and optimize production
  • Troubleshoot process, tool, and program issues in a timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison between shop floor personnel and management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Monitor employee attendance and input relevant data into our SAP system
  • Ensure area housekeeping meets our high standards
  • Enforce all safety, security, and company policies, as well as the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Maintain accurate time and production records
  • Attend, participate, and lead production meetings to drive continuous improvement
  • Communicate relevant issues to other supervision and management
  • Schedule overtime as needed to meet production demands
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in a similar role
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • PREFERRED: CNC grind, lathe, and mill experience, as well as knowledge and experience using basic G&M code
  • Availability to work 3rd shift, 11pm to 7pm
