Medical Specimen Collector

Job Summary:
The Medical Specimen Collector will be responsible for drawing blood and collecting specimens from patients in our medical offices. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for various tests
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate manner
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis at the lab
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid Phlebotomy Certification required
- A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
- Experience drawing blood from all age groups
- Strong customer service skills
Work Environment:
The Medical Specimen Collector will work in a clinical laboratory setting and will be required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to operate general office equipment. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move between 10 and 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
