Job Summary:
Next Move Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic Surgical Team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment, assisting surgeons during operations, and maintaining sterile conditions throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Surgeons: Provide support to surgeons during operations, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Understand Surgical Procedures: Familiarize yourself with various surgical procedures and protocols, and understand the importance of maintaining a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with the Surgical Team: Work effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Participate in Central Sterile Processing: Assist with central sterile processing tasks, including preparing and sterilizing equipment and supplies.
- Be Available for On-Call Shifts: Remain available for on-call shifts, responding within a 20-minute timeframe to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Required: Current BLS Certification
- Preferred: 1 year of Surgical Tech experience and Certified Surgical Tech designation
- Ability to Work Varied Shifts: Ability to work varied shifts, including on-call shifts, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of Aseptic and Sterile Techniques: Familiarity with aseptic and sterile techniques, and the importance of maintaining a sterile environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the surgical team and patients.
- Experience with Central Sterile Processing: Experience with central sterile processing, including preparing and sterilizing equipment and supplies.
