Billing Coordinator Job Description

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a highly skilled Billing Coordinator to join our Finance department in Miami. As a hybrid work opportunity, this role offers the perfect blend of flexibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and distribute pre-bills on a monthly basis and as requested
  • Process narrative edits, time, and cost adjustments with precision
  • Finalize invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Produce LEDES and other file formats for electronic billing
  • Submit electronic billing through various vendor websites
  • Ensure successful transmission of E-Bills and follow up as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of client guidelines
  • Implement and maintain correct client exception rates on matter/client, where required
  • Manage the "book of business" by maintaining current information on attorney preferences, proforma status, and billing cycles
Requirements:
  • Ability to handle a high-volume workflow and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is a must
  • Billing and Aderant experience is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • High School diploma (or G.E.D.) required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Law firm experience is a plus
