Job OpportunityThe Economics Department at UMass Amherst invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level, starting September 1, 2025. We welcome candidates from diverse fields, including theory and applied economics, who can address pressing social and economic challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier economics journals
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, including theory and applied fields
- Contribute to departmental service and mentorship of students
- Ph.D. in Economics or a related field by the start date
- Strong research and teaching record, with a focus on economic theory and applied economics
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and research
