  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Negotiate, execute, and manage commercial contracts for the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring alignment with company business objectives.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including contract modifications, to meet stakeholder needs.
    • Lead negotiations on contract modifications, leveraging expertise in contract law and commercial practices.
    • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters, requirements, risk management, and mitigation strategies.
    • Establish an acquisition strategy, including contract type and milestones, to ensure effective contract management.
    • Coordinate review of contracts or purchase agreements with Procurement Management and the Office of General Counsel, as required.
    • Perform cost or price analysis, including review of cost breakdowns, to determine reasonableness.
    • Interpret contract provisions for Business Units and provide appropriate guidance.
    • Lead negotiations on contract modifications and perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Business, Contract Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in Contract Law terms/conditions and acquisition planning, strategy development, negotiations, contract management, and administration.
  • Significant knowledge of commercial and business practices to develop, execute, and manage contracts.
  • Significant knowledge of evaluating and mitigating risk in contracts.
  • Significant experience in written bid/proposal preparation.
  • Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost containment strategies.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established standards.
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations.
