Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - New Product Introduction

Great Plains Manufacturing Incorporated is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead the New Product Introduction process. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch of new products, overseeing the transition of products between plants, and driving cross-functional teams to meet critical milestones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement detailed schedules to drive project timelines and ensure timely product launches.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, material control, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to identify and resolve open issues.
  • Document and track open issues, actions, owners, and dates to ensure timely resolution and alignment with company schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders to ensure transparency and progress updates.
  • Manage design review processes, production preparation, and production trials to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and effective communication to drive project success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with functional discipline or operational leadership experience in a plant.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive accountability and results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
