Soccer Shots - Colorado Springs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Soccer Coach to join our team. As a Coach, you will be responsible for leading engaging and fun soccer sessions for children aged 2-12 years old, promoting character development and a love for the game.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Session Preparation
- Attend coaches' meetings at the beginning of the season to review curriculum and expectations.
- Review and familiarize yourself with the online curriculum, aligned with Colorado state early education standards.
- Maintain equipment in good condition and arrive on time to set up the field for each session.
- Coaching
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every child during each session.
- For childcare sites, gather children from the classroom and return them after the session (note: for public locations, no pick-up/drop-off is required).
- Follow proper on-site protocol for each location, as prepared and provided by the Soccer Shots supervisor.
- Conduct fun and positive 30-60 minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum.
- Communication and Administration
- Communicate promptly with the supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information.
- Complete online attendance sheets for each session.
- Complete end-of-season certificates.
- Return equipment and leftover supplies to the supervisor upon completion of each season.
Requirements
- Must love impacting children and the game of soccer.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Experience working with young children.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Soccer playing or coaching background (preferred).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
