We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Application Architect, Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our cloud computing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and take advantage of cloud capabilities.
  • Architect, build, and manage cloud environments to support mission-critical systems.
  • Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
  • Lead teams in the development of cloud-based solutions and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
  • Broaden your skillset in areas such as cloud computing, virtualization, and containers.
Requirements
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services and using tools, including EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions.
  • Experience working with microservices and containerization such as orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux server systems in the Cloud.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and integrating custom solutions, COTS, GOTS, and FOSS into a larger collection of services and systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Python or Linux and Unix shell scripting.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM.
  • Experience securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers.
  • Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using methods, including clustering or failover.
  • Experience with application performance analysis and monitoring, including ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Experience with an Agile release methodology.
  • Master's degree.
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification.
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
