Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, observing their symptoms and conditions, evaluating and documenting intervention plans, and providing quality patient care. The LVN must be familiar with community health resources and social services.
Key Responsibilities:- Takes patient history, vital signs, symptoms, and conditions and documents them in the medical record.
- Checks patients' height and weight, administers screening tests, evaluates, and records results.
- Administers patient immunizations following clinical protocols and provider instructions.
- Administers medications and treatments ordered by the provider.
- Maintains lab duties, including daily quality checks, documentation, specimen processing, and result notification.
- Checks treatment rooms for functioning equipment and stocks supplies.
- Provides individual or group health education to patients, distributing educational materials as needed.
- Reviews chart documentation for completeness according to established indicators.
- Travels to other Centro Del Barrio sites to carry out duties.
- Adheres to infection control policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Safety Manual.
This rewarding position offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health, dental, vision, and life insurance, retirement plans, basic life insurance for spouse and children, short and long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, wellness programs, travel reimbursement, critical illness insurance, and accident insurance.
The comprehensive benefit package also includes six paid company holidays, two extra floating holidays, paid time off/vacation time, career development opportunities, and other perks that support work-life balance and teamwork.
Requirements:To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Vocational Nursing and licensure with the Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
Experience: Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting is preferred.
Skills and Qualifications: Bilingual Spanish proficiency is required. Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
