About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance, scalable applications for personalized recommendations using machine learning technologies such as Java, Python, Pyspark, Tensorflow, and PyTorch.

You will apply your knowledge of data analysis methods and techniques, such as dimensionality reduction, predictive modeling, and text mining, to perform feature engineering and develop robust machine learning models using structured and unstructured data sets and advanced algorithms, including Neural Networks, Regression Models, and Gradient Boosting Algorithms.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will also be responsible for staying abreast of and exploring new technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs), deep learning, and reinforcement learning for potential application in our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and implement data-driven solutions, continuously improving our personalization and recommendation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement high-performance, scalable applications for personalized recommendations using machine learning technologies.
  • Apply knowledge of data analysis methods and techniques to perform feature engineering and develop robust machine learning models.
  • Stay abreast of and explore new technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs), deep learning, and reinforcement learning for potential application in our systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and implement data-driven solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field.
  • 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
