We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care by preparing and serving food in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and prepare patient trays, individual portions, and food displays in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stock food and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen and service area.
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as kitchen and service equipment.
  • Remove garbage, trash, and grease from department areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner, consistent with the core values of Jefferson Health.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3 years' experience in food service preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend written assignments.
  • 1-3 years of previous food service experience.

Working Conditions

Covid vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson Health for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
