Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in driving the recruitment process, working collaboratively with various community organizations and recruitment channels to attract exceptional candidates to Broward College.

In partnership with hiring managers, the Specialist assesses staffing requirements and formulates customized sourcing and recruitment strategies to cultivate a pool of qualified applicants for both current and prospective openings.

This role involves providing expertise on personnel policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations governing recruitment practices.

Candidates should possess strong analytical and research capabilities, alongside superior organizational, communication, and presentation skills. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.Consideration may be given to a combination of relevant experience and education.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of four years of experience in recruitment and candidate sourcing, ideally within HR or staffing agency environments utilizing online job application systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily - 30%: Execute comprehensive recruitment and hiring processes in line with established policies and legal standards, which includes job postings, candidate evaluations, interviews, selection recommendations, background checks, and onboarding of new hires. Employ diverse sourcing techniques to address critical vacancies and explore innovative strategies to enhance recruitment efficiency.Daily - 10%: Investigate and resolve various employment-related issues.As Needed - 10%: Represent Broward College at job fairs and community events to showcase employment opportunities.Monthly - 10%: Analyze advertising platforms and develop job announcements aimed at attracting a diverse array of qualified candidates.Weekly - 10%: Compile recruitment metrics and status reports.Monthly - 5%: Facilitate search committee activities for administrative and faculty roles.As Needed - 5%: Provide training to hiring managers on navigating the Human Capital Management recruiting module.As Needed - 5%: Administer assessments for positions requiring specific qualifications.Other - 5%: Contribute to ongoing process enhancements.As Needed - 5%: Test system updates and modifications as required.Other - 5%: Undertake additional assigned responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

In-depth understanding of HR regulations, institutional policies, and best practices.Proficient analytical and research skills, along with strong organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.Capacity to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and uphold confidentiality.Familiarity with professional standards and the organizational structure, policies, and practices of Broward College.Expertise in project management, resource coordination, and information dissemination.Proficient in computer systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and specialized software.Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
