Position: Registered Nurse - RN
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Work Environment: Long-Term Care Facility
Location: Burlington, VT
Work Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours – day, evening, or night shifts based on facility requirements and on-call duties as necessary
Compensation: $55.22/hour based on experience, in addition to shift differentials and a $13,000 retention bonus. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Oversee and guide the personal care tasks and nursing procedures performed by Nursing Assistants within the assigned team.
- Support Nursing Assistants in providing direct care to residents when required.
- Adhere to the individualized Plan of Care for each resident and supervise the Nursing Assistants' execution of the care plan.
- Receive controlled substances from the Supervisory Nurse on duty and manage all aspects of their storage and distribution; ensure safe and proper handling of medications stored in various locations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in care plans, Nursing Notes, Medical Administration Records, Treatment Records, and other mandated records.
- Must possess a valid Registered Professional Nurse credential with an active VT state license in good standing.
- Current BLS/CPR certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
- Experience in a geriatric care setting is highly desirable.
