Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Warehouse Technician plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of our logistics and distribution processes. This position is responsible for various warehouse tasks including the assembly and packaging of deliveries, inventory management, and the accurate entry of patient data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes a collaborative relationship with courier services, ensuring compliance with delivery protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of assigned vehicles, promptly reporting any mechanical issues and devising alternative delivery plans when necessary.
  • Prepares compounding materials prior to their entry into the clean room environment.
  • Compounds sterile preparations as required, ensuring quality control by checking for particulate matter and container integrity before final pharmacist review.
  • Labels compounded sterile preparations in accordance with state regulations.
  • Conducts checks on ancillary supplies and efficiently picks and packs necessary items for delivery.
  • Implements effective territory management and delivery zones, coordinating with customer service and pharmacy teams to ensure timely processing of delivery requests.
  • Utilizes best practices in delivery and warehouse operations, maintaining a safe working environment and tracking delivery costs.
  • Assists in the orientation of new warehouse staff and participates in inventory counting processes.
  • Ensures the warehouse is maintained safely and efficiently, facilitating smooth workflow and inventory stocking.
  • Receives and organizes incoming orders, performing routine maintenance and cleaning of returned equipment.
  • Executes inventory control procedures, rotating stock as needed and notifying relevant personnel of shortages.
  • Accurately compiles medication and supply orders, ensuring supervisory cross-checks for accuracy.
  • Adheres to established performance programs, policies, and internal control standards, reporting any concerns regarding deficiencies.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary, along with a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Must meet state requirements for Pharmacy Technicians, including registration or certification as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree is preferred.
  • One year of experience in warehouse, distribution, or healthcare settings is advantageous.
