Position Summary:

The Advanced Practice Nurse is responsible for diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions, either independently or as part of a collaborative healthcare team. This role emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, including the ability to order, conduct, or interpret diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory tests and imaging studies. The practitioner may also prescribe medications as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe medications based on individual patient characteristics, including age and gender.
  • Ensure accurate and complete billing practices.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and x-rays.
  • Analyze patient histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information to formulate appropriate diagnoses.
  • Develop treatment plans grounded in scientific evidence, care standards, and professional guidelines.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and foster positive patient relationships.
  • Diagnose and manage acute healthcare issues such as infections and injuries.

  • Monitor and respond to adverse drug reactions, particularly in vulnerable populations.

Qualifications:
