Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' nutritional status and develop effective care plans to meet their needs.
  • Teach informational classes and workshops on nutrition and healthy eating.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and coordinate bariatric support group classes.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, taking into account their cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient appointments and billing information.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans in accordance with patients' medical program goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient, physician, and community awareness of outpatient nutrition services.
  • Prepare and deliver community nutrition education programs as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in foods, human nutrition, or dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of a postgraduate or equivalent dietetic program that fulfills requirements for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Mandatory Reporter certification and CPR certification.
  • One year of experience as a clinical dietitian preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as a team member.
