Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN Night Shift

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response.
- Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
- Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
