Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

This is a 13-week contract position with a competitive hourly rate of $30-$35. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as an RN in a Labor and Delivery Unit within the last three years. You will be required to have a current and unrestricted RN nursing license in the state of practice and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and NRP.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized patient assessments and monitoring, prioritizing collection of data based on individual needs and condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
  • Perform appropriate treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in an appropriate and timely fashion.
  • Provide individualized patient and family teaching.
  • Document patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
  • Current and unrestricted RN nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
  • Two years of experience as an RN in a Labor and Delivery Unit within the last three years.
