Lexington Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in the Women's Imaging Department. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing digital screening and diagnostic mammography imaging, as well as other related procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammography imaging, adhering to hospital policies and/or practice standards.
- Demonstrate an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Maintain accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and image evaluation while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards.
- Understand federal regulations governing mammography practice and meet the standards for the performance of breast imaging.
- Participate in quality assurance policies and quality control testing for mammography within federal regulation guidelines.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- None.
- Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
- Required Certifications/Licensure: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography (Must have and maintain current biennium ARRT continuing education credits); Must have received/applied for South Carolina state license with SCRQSA; Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
- Required Training: Must have personal computer skills and be able to perform required functions in current hospital computer system and PACS.
