About the Role

This full-time Pharmacy Technician position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and want to make a difference in their community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medication Preparation and Dispensing:
    • Accurately measure, package, and label prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
    • Verify prescription information to ensure accuracy before processing.
    • Assist in the preparation of compounded medications following proper protocols.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Provide courteous and professional assistance to patients and healthcare providers.
    • Resolve customer inquiries regarding medication, refills, and pharmacy services.
    • Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues efficiently.
  3. Inventory Management:
    • Maintain proper inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
    • Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the pharmacist.
    • Ensure proper storage of medications, including those requiring refrigeration or other specific conditions.
  4. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, including pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Assist in preparing reports as required by management or regulatory bodies.
  5. Operational Support:
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Perform routine pharmacy maintenance and assist in equipment upkeep.
    • Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  1. Education and Certification:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred, or state-specific licensure as required.
  2. Experience:
    • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  3. Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in using pharmacy management systems and related software.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Salary and Benefits
