We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at UF Health. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of patient care equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Under the direction of a graduate Sterile Processing Tech and supervision of the Sterile Processing Manager, acquire the skill sets to perform effective and efficient decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and reprocessing of patient care equipment, surgical instruments, and medical supplies.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of a busy healthcare facility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of sterilization procedures and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow with our team is essential.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
