Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Springbrook. As an LPN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and intervention to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health care needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine and emergency nursing intervention as needed/assigned by RN.
  • Assume all responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional.
  • Responsible for passing medications and documenting pertinent care according to Springbrook Policies & Procedures.
  • Perform routine medication room checks to ensure all needed supplies and prescriptions are up to date.
  • Proficiency with the Dr. First website and Precision Care for procuring prescriptions and documenting medication histories.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved practical nursing program and current NYS LPN license.
  • Two (2) years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Access to reliable transportation for local travel.
