We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team, assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining accurate inventory and supplies, and ensuring seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares IV mixtures according to established procedures
  • Picks up orders and medications for return from patient care areas
  • Checks areas of responsibility for outdated medications and adequate levels of stock
  • Maintains a good working relationship with other departments
  • Fills patient medication drawers and unit dose medication orders
  • Fills automated dispensing machines and other unit supplies
  • Makes deliveries to patient care areas
  • Enters charges and credits
  • Unpacks and stocks orders
  • Prepackages bulk medication to unit dose or IV bulk products to syringes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; College preferred
  • 1 year of experience as hospital tech required; 2 years preferred
  • CPhT and Texas Registered required; IV Certified preferred
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic computer knowledge required
