Housekeeping Assistant

The Festus Manor Nursing Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year.

Festus Manor is a 150-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Festus, Missouri. Our staff is committed to ensuring the highest quality of life for all our residents, helping each to get stronger, healthier, and happier.

This role involves performing scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and cleaning equipment, fixtures, and hardware.

• Cleaning and maintaining living areas, including dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Using proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
• Vacuuming and/or shampooing carpets as directed by the supervisor.
• Empting trash containers, replacing liners as needed, and disposing of trash in proper receptacles.
• Reporting repair needs to the supervisor or maintenance department.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
