We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at N2S Healthcare Staffing Solutions, LLC. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing patient care and maintaining a safe work environment in the surgical suite.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring quality care and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Organize and prepare supplies and instruments for surgical procedures, ensuring timely and efficient setup.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse circulator to prepare patients, assemble supplies, and ensure proper disposition of specimens.
- Perform duties according to department policy and procedure, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Monitor and document sterilization activities, ensuring completion and accuracy.
- Participate in in-services and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on current department-related issues and contributing to the Performance Improvement Process.
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or successful completion of a military training program for Surgical Technology or Operating Room Specialist.
- Cardio thoracic/cardiovascular experience, with additional experience across service lines a plus.
- BLS - AHA certification and CST (Certified Surgical Technician) certification required.
- Works with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Ability to communicate and write, with frequent use of side vision, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds, with use of both hands and all fingers required for gripping, speed work, and precision.
- Vision and hearing for distances of up to twenty 20 feet required, with depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors necessary.
