Job Summary

Resource Environmental Solutions is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in the field of environmental restoration. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, tracked dump trucks, bulldozers, skid loaders, tractors, and all-terrain utility vehicles.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assure grade accuracy by utilizing survey equipment.
  • Install and maintain Environmental and Safety Best Management Practices (E&S BMPs) to ensure site compliance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience operating an excavator.
  • Some experience operating equipment other than an excavator.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds in rough terrain.
  • Ability to use all standard hand tools and mechanized landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to operate standard construction equipment.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of field experience in ecological restoration, land development, stormwater management, utilities, or golf course construction.
  • CDL License.
Work Environment

This is a field-based position that requires frequent travel and overnight stays. The ability to travel with overnight stays is required.
