Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician is a vital member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team, working directly with mentally ill or intellectually and developmentally disabled inmates to provide therapeutic services within mental health programs and units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct a variety of therapeutic client activities, correlated with client needs and based on treatment plans.
  • Provide leadership for groups of clients in one phase of the total therapeutic activities program.
  • Evaluate clients' capabilities and recommend placement in activity programs.
  • Assist in maintaining administrative and clinical records.
  • Request supplies and equipment needed for assigned activities.
  • Provide individual instruction for clients as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current CPR Certification from a recognized organization.
