We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our fire suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on fire suppression systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire suppression systems, and implement necessary repairs.
- Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices to ensure proper operation of fire suppression equipment.
- Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation using laptop computers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of inspection and maintenance schedules.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of fire suppression system codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Documented experience in sprinkler systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
- Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Willing to travel out of town.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- 5+ years' relevant experience in sprinkler systems.
- Repair experience in fire suppression systems.
- Backflow certification.
- NICET Level II certification.
