Position Overview
Join the dynamic team at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies as a Financial Accountant. This role is integral to our Accounting and Finance department, providing essential support in maintaining our financial systems and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller, contributing to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
- Oversee the general ledger by verifying, posting, and reconciling transactions, ensuring accuracy in inter-company accounts and eliminating journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, generating various reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Support annual audits and examinations by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Facilitate the accounts receivable process, including drafting customer invoices and assisting with collections.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounting team on revenue recognition, applying relevant accounting principles and ensuring proper documentation.
- Work with the fixed asset accountant to manage asset additions, disposals, and tracking of assets under construction.
- Prepare and upload travel and expense related journal entries into the financial system.
- Perform additional accounting tasks as needed to support the Finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and financial processes, including budgeting and reporting.
- Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems and Tableau is advantageous.
