Job Overview

US 1 Shorthaul is seeking a skilled Yard Jockey to join our team. As a Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for safely moving trailers in and out of the dock using yard goats, performing yard audits, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Move trailers in and out of the dock using yard goats
  • Perform yard audits at the end of each shift
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and submit reports on truck conditions
  • Responsible for drop and hook operations
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
Requirements
  • Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers
  • Minimum 12 months of over-the-road or trailer spotting experience in the last 3 years
  • Minimum MVR requirements met
  • No preventable DOT accidents within the past 3 years
