Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services, is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Volusia County Jail in Daytona Beach, FL.

Job Summary:

The LPN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing wound care to offenders. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality patient care, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of teaching plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Document actions in the MAR and medical records.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Possesses an active CPR certification.
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
