The ideal candidate will be a proactive and collaborative professional, adept at leading teams and driving solutions. This role is crucial in guiding projects to successful completion within established budgets and timelines, ensuring a superior experience for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume full responsibility for projects, managing various elements such as coordination with the project team and Superintendent.
  • Oversee project financials and budgets.
  • Maintain and organize all contract documents, ensuring they are current and accessible.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and subcontractors to prepare the construction schedule.
  • Ensure the implementation of the final project budget and its intent.
  • Authorize all subcontract agreements.
  • Manage the master submittal schedule and related documentation.
  • Conduct regular meetings for coordination with owners and subcontractors.
  • Address and resolve project-specific challenges.
  • Maintain project schedules and timelines effectively.
  • Assist the Superintendent in enforcing quality control and safety measures on-site.
  • Oversee all Requests for Information and Proposals from subcontractors.
  • Manage the process for Owner Change Order Requests.
  • Prepare and disseminate all Change Orders and budget adjustments for subcontractors.
  • Generate and distribute monthly payment applications for owners.
  • Supervise project administrative records and close-out procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of a site-specific safety plan and promote a culture of safety.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects at different stages of their lifecycle.
  • Lead a small team, providing guidance and mentorship in line with company policies.
  • Engage in the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by adhering to safe work practices and participating in safety training.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in general contracting.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction estimating, methodologies, financial management, and industry standards.
  • Preferred experience with LEED certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software, Textura, CMiC, and Bluebeam is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in team management is preferred.
  • Approach all responsibilities with integrity, fairness, and consideration.
  • Possess a proactive attitude, viewing challenges as opportunities for innovative solutions.
  • Consistently deliver results that exceed expectations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally may be required.
