Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at BBL Hospitality. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing beverages for our guests and servers in a quick, courteous, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take beverage orders from guests and servers, and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our standard drink recipes.
  • Learns the names and personally recognize regular guests, and record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into our register system.
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change (if applicable), and wash and sterilize glassware.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons, and maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  • Clear and reset tables in the bar area, and present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas, and receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager, and assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, and specialized knowledge of bartending and mixing drinks.
  • Certification as required by state or local laws, and must meet legal age requirements of the state.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, cash handling procedure experience, and knowledge of ABC regulations for state and local offices.
  • Customer service aptitude and interpersonal communication skills, and physical requirements include standing, carrying 30-75 lbs, walking, lifting, reaching overhead, pushing, bending, and able to climb a ladder.
