Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team in the Gastroenterology department. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical team.
Responsibilities- Schedule appointments and obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies as needed.
- Check-in patients, answer their questions, and assist with pre-visit paperwork.
- Complete forms, collect co-payments, and schedule follow-up appointments, tests, and procedures during check-out.
- Field incoming telephone calls, triage appropriately, and monitor patient flow and waiting room activity.
We are looking for a well-rounded customer service professional with 2 years of experience working in a community-based medical practice. Epic experience is preferred, but not required. A High School Diploma or College-level coursework is also preferred.
