Entry Level Automotive Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough tests to verify that systems and components are functioning correctly.
  • Diagnose and isolate issues within systems or components.
  • Perform test drives to assess vehicle performance.
  • Inspect and replenish fluid levels as required.
  • Ensure proper tire pressure for optimal performance.
  • Clean and lubricate fittings as necessary.
  • Install new oil drain plugs and oil filters.
  • Maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Proactively repair or replace worn components to prevent breakdowns.
  • Communicate oil levels and vehicle conditions with team members.
  • Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Utilize power tools, machine tools, and hand tools to perform various tasks.
Qualifications
  • Ability to quickly identify problems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient reading, computer, and mathematical skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures.
  • Experience operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ASE Certification or Technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a service department.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
