Experienced CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to help transition our Machining department to the next level in our growth plan. Our company, Laser Precision, is a world-class innovator in metal cutting and fabrication, committed to delivering quality parts to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have 6-10+ years of experience in a production machining environment, with expertise in set-up and operating vertical machine centers (3 & 5 axis) with high pressure coolant & Auto Probing, as well as experience operating lathes with Y-Axis & live tooling with high pressure coolant & bar feeder.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up and running production jobs
• Coaching & mentoring team members to develop a highly trained and highly competent workforce
• Assisting management in further developing team members to achieve the highest standards in quality & productivity
• Assisting management with cycle time improvement and cost reduction activity

Physical Requirements and Duties:

• Ability to reach, turn, twist, and walk
• Ability to stand for the duration of a work shift
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience a plus
• GD&T and/or Blueprint reading
• Experience working in a warehouse environment
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
• Mechanically inclined, excellent spatial reasoning skills
• Basic computer skills
