Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the highest quality of patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the work of laboratory staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule laboratory activities to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform advanced laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance measures.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience as a supervisor at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent.
