Histotechnician Specialist

At All Medical Personnel, we are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnician to join our team. As a Histotechnician, you will play a critical role in the preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologists.

• Slide Preparation: Process tissue samples for microscopic evaluation, ensuring proper tissue processing and embedding.
• Paperwork and Reporting: Accurately complete paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting.
• Special Stains: Perform special stains under the approval of the Histology Manager/Supervisor.
• Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of non-complex equipment.
• Quality Control: Adhere to laboratory's quality control policies and document all quality control activities.

• Education: Associate degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science.
• Training: Formal training in Histology from an accredited program (720 hours).
• Licensure: State licensure, where applicable (CA, FL, NY require licensing).
• Skills: Proficiency in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and routine special staining techniques.
