**Job Summary:**

Syndeo Staffing is currently seeking qualified candidates for a temporary laborer position at the City of Wichita Landfill. This role involves providing general labor services to support the landfill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, filling holes, and assisting the crew with other tasks.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including inclement weather, and be comfortable with exposure to airborne environmental nuisances.
  • Operate equipment and machinery, and safely handle tools, such as a 12-pound sledge hammer.
  • Lift and carry bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds, and assist with moving items weighing up to 150 pounds with the help of another person.
  • Perform tasks that require standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, and reaching for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • Must have steel-toed boots and be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and some Saturdays, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, not exceeding 40 hours per week.
  • Pay rate: $15.7887 per hour.
