Customer Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers and patients, providing assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
  • Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.

Operations

Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, adhering to state, federal, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
  • Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
  • Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
  • Adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Strictly adhere to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register and collect and handle cash as required.

Requirements:

  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
  • One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer basic math skills (counting, measuring, and weighing medications).
  • Prefer basic level PC skills (for example: start up and shut down computer, use mouse to point and click, start and close programs, switch between programs, save files, print documents, and/or access information online).
