Truck Driver Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Truck Driver to join our team at Ryder System. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country in a safe and timely manner.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,400, with opportunities for overtime pay and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Loading and unloading freight, or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid Class A CDL and endorsements for tanker and doubles/triples
  • At least 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • The ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
  • The ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
